Rapidly Evolving Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Rapidly Evolving

No time is left to remain petty.
Or find the presence of self importance,
A noticeable priority...
To preserve hypocrisy to worship.
Or racist standards to value.
Only those who oppose,
Remain fixed to teachings...
From days of old.
Molded to rust and dust that blows.

The Earth is rapidly evolving.
With all living 'things',
Going through changes too.
If you belong with others,
To continue on prolonging divisiveness.
You will be left unprepared,
Or aware of the 'enlightment'...
Missed to dismiss,
Done to have come...
For the ones who have no time to waste,
Seeking to debate...
Skin color or race.
Or religious beliefs being replaced,
By a reality outdating delusion.
