Rather Be Gone Poem by Lisa French

Rather Be Gone

Rating: 5.0

Tired of running
Don’t want to face
The truth of my life
That feels a disgrace

Sick of faking
The same smile everyday
Can’t find a reason
For me to stay

Want to go away
Far from here
Leave it all behind
Just disappear

Shouldn’t be alive
Each day I hurt more
Wish I was gone
Like I’ve wanted before
