Razor Blade...(06 / 02 / 2013-13: 48-An) . - Poem by kfm Productions

If i don't believe in my culture like my ancestors, i will die as i am a poet. /
Hence, i rather be an ' Inyanga ' like them, when they came to kill me with ' Umuthi '. /
The fact is i was born to be a poet, hence i maintain my respect & dignity. /
The first thing i think about when i strategize, in the morning is an idea. /
So, i compose with an aim to make a difference in my community. /
Hence, i believe i won't give up without a fight... /
The fact is i cannot start something, which i cannot finish... /
Hence, i used to compose on a daily basis like other poets across the globe. /

The fact is i am willing to make a difference to the young up & coming poets across the globe like Mzwakhe Mbuli for this matter. /
Hence, i was inspired by his poems in order for me to succeed like him. /
The fact is i rebel with a cause like Kabelo Mabalane... /
Hence, i believe in everything i see on a daily basis like other poets across the globe. /
The fact is what doesn't kill me, will only make me stronger... /
Hence, i was born to be a poet... /

Definition:

' Umuthi ': Traditional medicine.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

The poem is about me fighting for my rights like a poet. Hence, i dedicate it to everyone, who wish to be like me. The fact is i was inspired by the likes of Mzwakhe Mbuli & Kabelo Mabalane as i have stated in the above paragraphs. Hence, i am willing to inspire the other poets across the globe like i was inspired too...
The fact is what doesn't kill me, will only make me stronger, hence i am an honest poet.
I composed it in Intabazwe Public Library & uploaded it in Harrismith Public Library where i normally attend for this matter...
