Re Dedication Poem by Ima Ryma

Re Dedication

The U.S.S. New York now sails
To send the terrorists to hell.
Built during Katrina's fierce gales,
Workers who lost their homes did dwell
And kept working at the ship's site,
Believing that their work to build
Was so that American might
Would ever be, in that bow filled
With steel from the World Trade Towers.
The ship will take around the world
The great spirit that empowers
The Stars and Stripes, ever unfurled.

Made from sacred downed Towers steel,
The ship avenges that ordeal.
