If one could search the world beyond
A scope might track the path,
Leading to beyond all suns
Where galaxies are cast.
What's unknown would now be known-
As each ship would chart its course-
Speeding to its steadfast home
Of peace and not of force.
But the living can not do that search
It's nest obscured, unwed,
So the only way to attain that long-sought perch
Is to live first, then die last-
And, in reverence,
Recalling all your dead.
