Real Hell Poem by john tiong chunghoo

Real Hell

he asked for
an eternal body
and was granted
but now while the rest
have gone to form a union
with the Most High,
he is still left with all
his desires to contend with
and it is real hell

A somewhat stark, dejected piece about getting what you wish for is not always the thing that would make you happiest - that what you may fear may turn out to be what completes you and makes you satisfied. An insightful read. - K.
