Really Crossed The Line Poem by Shilesha Johnson

It was your birthday so I tried to be nice
But you took advantage and that jus wasn’t right
I tried not to say anything to you
Though I didn’t even have to
Because you already knew
I told you to stop but you just wouldn’t listen
Kept pushing me around and being so abusive
I tried to fight back but you just grabbed my neck
Pushed me against the machine and I was helpless
When you finally let go I didn’t know what to say
So instead I just looked at you and walked away
Then you came running looking all concerned
So I turned
The money that I was going to use to by food
You decided to spend on YOU
And then tried to give me some after eating most of it
I told you no thank you for I did not like it
In fact they were my least favorite
And you just kept insistin
You played too much
And when I spoke
You didn’t listen
Now I just feel so weak
Came home and went straight to sleep
Woke up feeling worse
This was the worst day
Not just because you got on my nerves
But you really crossed the line
I can’t even describe the way I truly feel inside
