Reasons Unknown Poem by Darrin McMiller Jr.

Reasons Unknown

Hell at six feet
Heaven at six feet
Seems we’re on a different plane of existence

What was thought out of grasp
At a distance
Is below the ground
And just a distant memory

So after is underneath
And above is nothing
Beyond our comprehension
We developed superstition
To deal with our circumstance

Random fate
Living in a dimension
Situated in space
Ever expanding
Eons into existence
Darkness constant shifting
Further into the deep

So what’s the meaning of life?
Important that we question
The answer not given
