憶母親

敬老憐貧堪聖姬
相夫教子勝神姝
搓麻織錦稱能手
養豕植桑謂巧姑
童叟尊卑皆友善
親朋鄰里概幫扶
謙恭寬厚千人仰
賢德溫柔百里殊


Recall My Mother

Respected the old and pitied the poor
was called her Goddess
Helped her husband and taught her children
was better than God beauty

Twist jute ropes and brocading
she was a good hand
Raised pigs and planted mulberries
was called her Clever Aunt

Children and old men
seniors and juniors
all were friendly
Relatives, friends and neighbors
helped each other

Grace and humility
a thousand people respect and admire her
Gentle and virtuous
in a hundred miles outstanding
