Reconnection Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Reconnection

Your friendship was a galaxy away since departing
no words were spoken… your feelings were bruised
the friction between us sharpened a severing blade
I wonder if the blunder has been forgotten or excused

As it came to be… we reconnected on the internet
Not a word said of lingering misgivings or such...
after five decades… we both amazingly declared,
I've thought about you often… let's stay in touch!
