I saw an ex-drug dealer working a legit job
No more were they going to steal or rob,
No more were they going to make their money wrongly
And how now they believed in that strongly.
I saw an ex-addict reconnect with the children they deserted
Away from their children they had skirted,
Now their children are again part of their life
Now they see or feel no worries or horror or strife.
Now from drugs they no longer suffer or die
Instead they changed their lives now they hold their heads up high,
Now unto their self they are happy and clean and dutiful
That's powerful, recovery is so beautiful.
