Red Hot Poem by Rue Palmer

Red Hot

My feet is hot fire never stop
Before you step hold my hands
I see no tears in your eyes
I see no fear in your heart
Earth is red and the fire never stop
My father never lie but my teacher did
My brother never lie but my pastor did
My mother never lie but politician did
My sister never lie but her man did
My feet is red hot and the fire never stop
My brother never lie but the government sis
Water is cold wood is dry
Rain come calling rivers flow deep
The road is long but your feet is strong
The future is dark man ignore the signs
Still my feet get red hot and the fire never stops, , ,
