Red Rose - Poem by Lindsay Crosby

Red rose

You could be king

Why does your beauty?

Sit upon a tower

I wish I could climb

But I am not blind to the danger

I could not bare the pain

Red rose

Your face to the sun

I stand in your shadow

Life is your enemy

I know ways to preserve

But I am a stranger to your kind

You have a secret to keep
