Red Rose Poem by Roger Guillermo

Red Rose

Rating: 5.0

Red rose
Blooms in the morning,
Appreciate the vibrant blue
Sky of Spring

For illuminating its petals.
Envy of every bud,
Flirty bird pals
Sing on its pod.

Of its heavenly sweet nectar,
Bees are drawn to it forthwith,
The risen star,
Fabulous beauty, indeed.

But the day wears it down,
Dark night will rein in,
The morning will crown
The new red rose queen.

" Sing upon its pod." what is " pod" here? I pretty much like the poem. Beauty rarely lasts forever, at least in blooms and human beauty queens. bri :)

A beautiful piece of poetry ceremoniously rich in tone. A lovely creation. Thanks for sharing, Roger. Remain enriched.
