Redemption Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Redemption

The man wanders in a delirious mind for the redemption of his soul,
He has committed the heinous sin
By destroying the beauty of the innocent soul;
"Forgive me, "he earnestly pleads to his conscience,
"Hateful sinner, you must be punished in the hell for your dreadful sin, "the conscience warns him in a gruff voice.
The man sees in his vision the dark and ruthless gallows is waiting for him,
"Forgive me, forgive me, "he cries pathetically again and again,
But it is of no avail,
Gradually he sinks into oblivion in the darkest fissure forever.
