Reflecting Poem by soren Barrett

Reflecting

Rating: 5.0

Mists of memories condense on glassy eyes
Rivers of pain filled with sorrow's rain
Gathered fragments dropped with time's demise
are the indelible bane that the spirit does stain

In a storm ravaged soul, debris will remain
until tempest's cries are erased from the skies
Only with the dawn can one see again
metamorphosize, evaporating nocturnal lies

A bitter sacrifice to remove a bloodstain
One must sanitize, sins in disguise
A greedy god on new terrain
All fears exorcise and hope baptize

An emotional idiot now so wise
A healed brain considered insane
Here no physical law applies
Nothing that you gain can you retain
