Reflections Poem by Chris Embrick

Reflections

Rating: 5.0

In the shaded window
I look distorted
In the polished mirror
I see my twin
Beside the lake
my image ripples
but in my soul
there's another reflection
not distorted
not my twin
not fragmented
in this mirror
my soul shows me
the real beauty of a person
loves me as I am
shows me how to smile
how to love others
who never take time
to find out who I am
I'm one of many
who hide their reflections
from a judgmental world
even with no mirrors
in a world with no reflections
it would still be the same
With their eyes
they stare and hurry past
and never take time
to see the heart that's beaking
never take time
to look behind the scars.

Polished mirror gives twin reflections and this thing amazes mind. Reflection smiles as mirror image does but reality remains in soul. Soul shows the real beauty of a person. Taking time we should judge upon reflection of personality. The reality captured in soul is reflected in mirror image. Some never take time to look behind scars but they should take care for healing by soul's need. Brilliant and excellent perceptional poem is shared...10
