Please do not keep remembering me,
Just the way it was,
For time goes by and so do we,
Each in our own different ways,
What was then is not still today,
For each of us has changed,
Yet, we allowed all to be themselves,
So, paths will cross as they go about their own lives,
I tried to change my favourite colour,
From blue to grey,
Yet, from the greys of matter,
And unconscious thinking,
I find myself back feeling blue
And left in the grey,
On how it all went down,
Then, I matched them both up,
Now I am in,
Blue and grey today,
So, please do not remember me,
Still the same today,
Time goes by and so do I,
But some things never change,
Fond memories will remain,
As, I take the time to refrain,
Maybe I am thinking back,
To when all was well,
And thinking too much into something,
Which was not your everyday occurrence,
Now, it seems some days are very weird,
While some day seem like I am walking,
On eggshells with my memories,
I speak nothing of us,
Even though it is in the past,
It would flare some,
Upset others and anger the be-grudgers
So, notto upset them,
Who remain in their steadfast ways,
And never seemed to,
Adaptto change,
So, just like my colours of choice,
And my everyday ways,
My everyday choice,
Please try to remember me as then.
And just simply look at me today.
But know one thing,
You opened up my world,
And showed me such beauty,
I carry it within me always,
And I thank you for that.
So, please do not remember me,
Still the same today,
Time goes by and so do I,
But some things never change,
Fond memories will remain,
As, I take the time to refrain.
