Refugee Dwell In A Shelter Of Peace Poem by Terence George Craddock

Refugee Dwell In A Shelter Of Peace

when persecution rage hate raises
intolerant an ugly killing head
to where must persecuted people run...

exceptionally lucky rescued refuges
are saved by international organizations
granted refuge in safe new countries...

an exodus horde will beat the feet
attempt to walk out to freedom salvation
boat people or border crashing crossings...

what will be tempest residue essence
your ultimate enduring life lessons take
on very disturbing experiences...

if you have lived unforgetable nightmare
it can ingrained stained scarred be so
echo haunting so much of what...

you have experiencial learned
become as a survival reaction to
being a flight fled refugee...

survivours have demons of identity...

the nasties keep ruining the world
small steps make refugee
shelter of peace...
