Regeneration Wrapped In Seasons Passing Poem by Terence George Craddock

Regeneration Wrapped In Seasons Passing

Rating: 5.0

regeneration
ravages of winter
cold ice hoar frost
snowblind frostbitten
icicles choke veins
healed in sun time
in warmth warmer
sun soaked spring

ice heat cyclic like return
to an old past spring love
a youth familiar hearth
is oasis kindness warmth
welcomes in flame smiles
a gift warm gentle heart

will time
begin healing
recovery
tend heart body
depends upon
severity wounds
ability to trust
scar folk tales

metaphor
for healing
regeneration
human need
to hope heal
begin again

start again
wherever possible
snowblind
skin seeks sun
sunbeams prisms
shine dispersive
prism breaks
up blinkered light

into constituent
spectral colors
behold rainbows
rainbow colors
split light components
differing polarizations

universal
appeal
winter
cold injuries
snow melt
healing
possibilities
offered

by fire
warmth shelter
a warm heart
allowing healing
to regenerate
in security time
