I made a mistake at university
'too many cooks spoilt broth'
all the poetic movements all the styles
ruined my own voice for a few years;
I rejected catalyst chemical brain reactions;
I could easily imitate poets
I was studying but did not
I wanted my own voice
to discover what I would write;
without interactive influence;
the mistake was nothing happens in isolation
the hybrid interaction with other poetic minds
contemporary and past eras is a genuine cross
fertilization if filtered into time now in medium;
sift interactive thought;
it is not an imitation
or copy but a genuine
new form if personalized
with the new readers mind;
hybrid cross fertilization births new forms;
