Rekindlingofdeadlove Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Rekindlingofdeadlove

Passing of ten daysvacation
Was a tedious decade long time!
I approached her and asked:
"Didn't you remember me once
In thepastten days? "
She wiggled her head
Left and rightto say 'No'.
"O.K! "I winkled out of her.
"Sir", she called me to say more
Though the wordofhonour hurt me
I smiled at her.
" I'll be your fan,not a lover",
She saidand turned me mad.

God pushed me away to work abroad
And forgot her amidst fun and jokes
Of my loving students, my dear fans.
For the loss of one fan, hundreds I gained.
One fine evening I got a ring from her.
"For the joke, I said, " She murmured.
"The man you cheated is already dead.
Can you revive your dead love? " I asked,
And put offthephone to doze.

She left me to clutch
The hand of a foreign based man.
When he slipped away,
after a night's sleep withher,
She wanted to plant
The sapling back to revive.".
