Relax Poem by Ana Monnar

Relax

Daily routines hustle and bustle
Rushing from place to place
So very tired, really need a break
Slow down to a different pace
Vacation, a trip, what is that?
Not done that for more than four years
Illness, forgetfulness, expenses
Pain and suffering brought many tears
My children remind me to enjoy and relax
A trip to the beach certainly helped me unwind
The sand felt so pure touching my skin,
The sound of the waves, music I did find
More often than usual, from now on I will make time
To pamper myself with glory and peace
Somehow trying to please so many I lost myself,
I, too, need love, support and release
