Oh love curtains my view this futile day,
as eyes now blind may see by morning's light.
Pull silken sheathe as night darkens my way,
a kiss now seals behind, my soul's in flight.

Tonight will love by chance distend the dream?
Though deep asleep the eyes lie wide awake.
The truest words do spill about in reams,
far deepest truth, true love one cannot fake.

In morning's light awake to see the dawn,
as love's released, now freed before it's gone.
