Reliance Poem by fraidoon warasta

Reliance

about this
maybe i'm not right:
the big boys buried
lady democracy.

self-governing people
feasting, dancing,
stamping on the graveyard

the censored orphans
beyond compliance and defiance
dodging and hoping
for the birth of a baby renaissance
will be thrown
from the red sky
