Dear sweet child
Sitting there all alone
All alone and cold
On this rock hard stone
No one remembers what happened
To this poor little girl
A spirit from ages ago
flowers in every curl of hair
She looks around the old road
Her parents have disappeared
So have her brothers and sisters
And her grandpa with the big beard
The road has changed the grass is longer
The trees are older, thick and stronger
The road is now a muddy mess
There are new flowers
She can’t caress
The stone is a symbol but no one ever knew
For this poor little girl
Ended up forgotten
When that horse carriage came by in a big hurl
The lady in the velvety carriage
Thought it was a bump in the road
And the driver covered up
The death he had bestowed
He said there was problem with the wheel
His eyes were filled with fear
Didn’t want his mistress to hear
The shock and pain
The girl softly cried out
The little girl dies soon after
The man buried her quickly
And prayed for her hereafter
But his praying wasn’t heard
The innocent girl soon stirred
She stood up still tied to the grave
Did not understand what happened
And sat down on the rock waiting
Time went by
A few ages or so
She is still waiting
For what? she doesn’t know
There is never much time
to ask for forgiveness
Nor is there much time
to bestow it on others
