Faith In Me Poem by zarina binda

Faith In Me

If it is my life they want,
They’ll have to fight me for it,
If it is my freedom they take,
I will take it back.
No prison can hold me,
No wall is too strong,
‘Cause I have something that they don’t
And that is faith in me.
They can’t take my life away,
Freedom is what I will always have,
‘Cause this is still my world you see,
And they aren’t capable of taking it away from me.
My creation is my own.
No one interferes,
I live my live the way I want,
Not the way they made for me.
Too bad this dream just can not be.
Reality is too cruel.
Reality lives my life for me.
I will never say I am free,
I’m not free it was just a dream.
Others are taking over.
Here in this society,
I am never completely me.
But I will keep on dreaming
Because I have something you don’t see?
And that something is faith in me.
