Remember Me (For My Father) Poem by Mike Snow

Remember Me (For My Father)

If it`s true we can change the future,
can we not change the past?
And if cicumstances altered,
would your feelings really last?

I rest easy now you`ve come to see me,
and talk softly of times gone by.
Is that really teardrops that I see,
or just a twinkle in your eye?

If things had been so different,
and did not remain the same.
Would we have had so much laughter,
so much laughter, so much pain?

And when you leave me,
to start your life,
to take it up again.
Remember me with happiness,
with laughter and not pain.
