Reminisce Poem by Soumili Karmakar

Reminisce

When the dawn broke, the crystalline droplet spoke;
Reminiscent of the sweet sunlight, Sheltering the enlightened twilight.
One had to stay, one had to leave
The sun was not to be blamed for the agony and grief.

The best build her nest;
On the top-most branch with her crest
Perhaps, she flew, deep down she knew
She had to return home to you.
Nightingale was her name,
Singing melodies was her fame.
You couldn't sleep, she didn't skip
Lessons learned, from this tiny script.

The sparkling star regained his fallen twin,
And he said: ' I kept my promise and here I win'.
Thus, the moonlight appreciated
While, the whole night sky sang afar
This is what kept the blessing, even if the heart ached at the start.

Faith is you, some is still due
Called you from aback, unaware of the fact:
You untwisted roots of the sacred plant,
So now she blooms on her favourite land.
How can she forget your care when she couldn't even explain you her fear?

The brown colour of thine eyes shone brightly when met the rays,
The waves settled on the sandy shores as she gazed.
She felt jealous of some,
Who looked inside your eyes by chance.
Your eyes were oceans, reminiscent of the first glance of her devotions.
