René Magritte Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

René Magritte

René Magritte

To those who have been jailed
-every bar is a hell
-and I know; know first-hand!

Look at bench in front
-seems made of stones parts
-on it sits a man who
-has hands but no body
-has a hat, a chapeau
-but no head
-though has coat
-his body is barred cage
-and I hate every bar
-at it see small bird
-in right hand he holds cane
-and below his left hand
-the index shows a bag.

I look at this work and go for search
-is ignored by most sites
-just because of Iran!

Hey western westerners
-what to say but
-shame, shame, shame!

You broom the facts soon
-to hide under carpet
-even if it is yours
-your art works!

René was Belgian and an artist
-surrealist
-his objects daily life
-when given as image
-he approached witty and
-somehow he provoked thoughts
-abnormal in context, perception
-how can you ignore, hide a fact
-just because it sits in the Iran's capital?
-on your words can't rely; no never can trust! ! !
