Repeatedly Revisited Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Repeatedly Revisited

One's outlook and point of view.
Is the only thing they have control over.
One who has a point of view.
And an outlook to perceive,
Others should have this same vision.
To control over too.
Will find they invite their own conflicts.
Limited to making unsolicited opinions.
And eventually to discover,
Few will listen to anyone...
Who has restricted themselves.
To an ignorance kept repeatedly revisited.
On the doings of others.
And the obvious enjoyment,
Of being the center of attention.
With discussions to begin and end,
To ensure they are about oneself.
