Repentance Poem by dave lessard

Repentance

I repent of all my sins,
greed and lust and malice;
give to me Your grace,
to enter in Your palace.
I cast away the lies,
the stealing I have done;
cleanse me from all evil,
wash me in Your sun.
Forgive the many wrongs,
forgive the acts of anger;
let me dwell with fellow men,
to whom I'm not a stranger.
Keep me in Your shelter,
where fear will be unknown;
where I can meditate,
close to Your very throne.
Let me be Your shining light,
for those who are but lost;
for the hope of resurrection,
no matter what the cost.
