Requirement (A Quatrain) Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Requirement (A Quatrain)

What we require is just a berth
For this worldly journey that we traverse,
But often I believe in my fallacy vain
Why not book for myself the entire train!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

Our basic requirements are minimum..... but we are never satisfied with moderate comforts! In our anxiety to be the sole proprietor of everything, we never care to think that it is depriving others of their genuine share! Great quatrain!

I am reminded of two lines from an old, famous poem. It was in an English text book: I am content with what I have Little be it, or much The Shepherd Boy’s Song in the Valley of Humiliation By John Bunyan (1628–1688) Thanks for sharing.
