Resting And Rising Angels Poem by Elizabeth Padillo Olesen

Resting And Rising Angels

Rating: 5.0

An angel falls asleep,
tired of the chaos below
of hate and conflicts,
wars and calamities,
obsession with
self-protection
and self- elevation;
while millions go hungry
bleeding and dying
by powers that only
seek to subjugate
and dominate.

Let the tired and sleeping
angels in you and me
wake up and rise up.
