Restless Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Restless

Restless

A young man, a colleague,
Sits with me, reminds me,
Is friend and caring:
"You need rest and sleep! "

Look at him in silence
As do dogs at masters,
after wrong, facing curse.

He is sure I listen
Not at all…

I act as did the man who smoked,
When talking with the Earth
About the ways of death:
"Won't give you this body
In its full health, fresh! "

Then drank and cared less:
"I will die when useless! "

The young man's capital
Is ahead and to come,
Mine, is used, left behind…

With little time with me
Have no right to sleep
I must work
Physically, mentally.

This is how can achieve
If I want to succeed…

Yes, someone may comment:
"And what comes at the end?
Haven't you travelled?
Haven't you read and read?
Don't you know the mankind?
Are we not born to die?
Look at life as candle in a wind,
A worthless and nothing! ! ! "
