Restless Soul Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Restless Soul

The nights are long,
each star a needle pressing into an open wound.
The sky offers no solace,
only the ache of infinity reflecting my own.

I wander between moments,
caught in the spaces where shadows whisper.
The world is quiet,
but my soul hums with an endless thrum of unrest.

Hurt lives here-
not like a guest,
but like a storm that never ceases,
its winds howling through every thought.

No peace lies in the stilness,
only the echo of what was taken,
the sharp edge of memories
that refuse to fade into the dark.

I reach for answers,
but they crumble,
turning to dust before they can
soothe the flame.

And so, I roam,
a soul untethered,
seeking a quiet I may never find,
carrying the weight of wounds too deep to heal.
