Retirement Living Poem by Ray Hansell

Retirement Living

A morning cup of coffee
A couple of eggs in the pan
Starting the off slowly
Taking my time because I can

The sun is out shining
Just like a happy face
A brand new spring morning
Winter's gone without a trace

Sitting on my patio
Listening to the crows
Loud and noisy as can be
What they're saying, God only knows

No need for me to hurry
For I have no place to go
Another day of retired life
Taking it nice and slow
