A bright sunny winter morning
Saw the birds sing
And the children play
At the corner of the road
An old man stood
Still like a rock
As if the world moves around him
He watched the children play
And the birds sing
Smiled for a while, then stood still
A smile like the flower
Whose nectar was taken from it
A smile like the sun
Eclipsed by the moon
A smile like none like the rest
Said the story of his quest
A story countless have gone through
May be glorious, may be painful
Stood like a rock, none could move
He took his journey, to the heavenly abode.
Going up he saw the birds
Said hello to them and moved on
Then thought of the children
And smiled again
Return to his childhood
Was the promise he made.
With the muse of the children. Playing together. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
