Reverence And Rainbows Poem by Pete Tine

Reverence And Rainbows

Rating: 4.0

Tears rain down in a fallible flood.
Turning fertile soil to mud.
Refracting the true contents of hearts.
Winds of doubt whip.
The scourging of my soul.
A chariot-riding gladiator in the coliseum of childlike constitution.
I emerge from the eye of the storm.
Creed stronger than fear.
Harmony restored in the spirit-flesh continuum.
Time and time again the ground rises up to meet me where I am.
The dark tells lies but the light illuminates assurances always present.

Secrets whisper but truth boldly proclaims.
Faith bends but does not break.
Stretching to infinity.
Clouds begin to part.
Revealing an arch of colors.
Rich, hallowed hues.
I turn and step into the future.
A future of...
... reverence and rainbows...
