Reversal Poem by Michael Philips

Reversal

Rating: 5.0

In those lonely days
when I infused chance eye contact
with deeper meaning

I would put up with your voice
Distant yet demanding
Like a control tower

Now I shake the dust off the quilt,
Strike back at your oppression
the way a child imagines the Boxer Rebellion
