Rewind The World Poem by Stephen Price

Rewind The World

Now we all know what we've done wrong
And the world won't improve with a speech or a song
What should we have done to prevent all this mess
Can we start all over with a feeling of bless?

We've raped and we've killed from the start of our time
Ourselves o'er land, and the creatures so fine
What gives us the right to be as we are
Why couldn't we have thought and not crashed the car

Are our minds controlled by an invisible force
That set us on such a terrible course
Why couldn't we have chosen a more giving way
In all aspects of life, to prevent this sad day

If we could only rewind and remake the bed
Unmurder the victims and love them instead
Show respect to all that we meet
Resuscitate the World and revive its heart beat
