Ride The Waves Poem by Rachel Brewer

Ride The Waves

It’s just me and you out on the open sea,
The wind howling through our sails.
They rustle so loudly, like the leaves on a tree,
And they seem so fragile under the pressure.
The waves crash along side of us,
And scrape our ship from below.
So blue and beautiful, with the bite of a shark,
Tearing us to shreds.
The wind and the waves are deadly alone,
But put the two together and we are going down for sure.
The paint chips off our precious boat,
And the gale blows us away.
Where we will end up now is unsure,
But we will be together, you, the boat and I.
Still as one, as we ride the waves.

Life is like a voyage, sometimes you have to face the storm and when you stick together helping each other out, you come out of it victorious. Excellent comparison............10
