Rift Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Rift

Rift

You were done to death
We saw you breathing last
You were rushed to hospital
But it proved to be fatal

We were peace loving
And strongly believing
In harmonious living
Still we were targeted while driving

We came home with your body
And buried with tears in eyes
We all burst with tears and remained in pain
The sad state was to remain with us

I come to your grave
And behave like child
Burst often in tears and shed
Now who come to lead?

The world will not change
And take revenge
Where do we shift now?
When internal rift is likely to grow!
