Right Wing Politicians Poem by Francis Duggan

If You Are a working class person they are not for you
Right wing politicians are for the well to do
The upper middle class and the wealthy and the very wealthy few
And this is not saying anything that is new
Why some working class people vote for right wingers beyond me to comprehend
Since they are voting for those who to them are not a friend
On voting for right wing politician only true to say
And why working class people vote for right wingers is beyond me anyway
Since they vote for those who are not or will never be on their side
The politicians who uphold the social divide
That they vote for anti unions politicians does seem strange indeed
For when they need a raise in wages the help of the unions they need.
