Rimbaud Poem by Eli Spivakovsky

Rimbaud

The azure blue snows! " says Rimbaud "how it dazzles! "
I see it now too like blue diamonds falling from the sky
sparkling and like stars that are souped in shimmer
they fall over us
and I ask "will it last? well it's shimmering all over me."
you in a calm voice says, our eyes spiral into each other
"I will catch you"
Then we float towards diamonds
sunk into ash into the ocean
and go abolognie diving for it as well
nacre seeps into our eyes
a pearly shell opens and we steal its pearls then repay with song
The extinguished diamonds fit into a cloak, cold amber-diamonds
still with luster
I wear it to the opening
you take me under your wing
the release of doves:
all the birds are related
brother of brother, daughter
and son
all released in a primary school for peace
I follow you, and look you in the eye, my pretty little darling.
