Ringing The Mellifluous Bells Of Spring Poem by Hebert Logerie

Ringing The Mellifluous Bells Of Spring

The freezing mountains of snow are almost gone
The landscape is fresh, moist, and almost green
The beautiful black birds have already set the tone
Humming songs that wake up the soul and the spleen
Ladies and gentlemen, the spring season is almost here
Pretty soon, gorgeous Mother Nature will be adorned
With a plethora of multicolored flowers. For the vivacious deer
The season to jump and fall in love, and to see new offspring
Is now. Let's gleefully ring the exquisite bells of spring
Let's run after the ducks. It's fun. A new season is born
Let's watch children happily and safely at play in the parks
Near the streets and the lakes. The chorus of nature is singing
Alleluia! Alleluia! The sweetest season is quickly approaching
And the cats are chasing the snappy squirrels around the blocks
Under the peeping eyes of the dogs that are gaily yapping
Brothers and sisters, let's ring the symphonious bells of spring.
