Rise up and seek the Lord
The sun shines blessings upon you
Through His Word
He paints the sky from the palette of His eye
Welcoming you, triumphant
To another day’s walk with the Lord
His mercies sing loud and true
A new day
Freshly filled with God’s grace
Listen to that soft whisper of tranquility
Christ’s words capture our hearts
And fling our souls into sweet surrender
Oh, what wondrous delight!
It would take death to see now’s sight
The sky grows clear
Such a blue is deeper than the ocean
And purer than the mountain spring
Hear the harmonies as the angels sing
While the morning stars flash their knowing grins
And disappear
And we wonder what mysteries lie within a day
We yield in peace to our dear Holy Spirit’s leading
With smiling submission
Doing all things as if unto the Lord
We serve our brothers and sisters
With the cup of love and joy
Because Christ has filled our hearts
With exuberant compassion
That cannot complain of its burden
Of the inexpressible burning
Of God’s desire in us
The Sun’s sweet blaze shines strong
Now the angels hum and beat their great drums
Crying, “Thy Kingdom come!
Thy Kingdom come!
Majesty and honour belong in His sanctuary!
Thy Kingdom come!
Thy Kingdom come! ”
We take hold of the Gospel
And stretch out
Willing to suffer
“To live is Christ
But to die is gain”
Clad in our full spiritual armour
“Pick up your cross and follow me”
Soldiers
Oh, how far the Earth is from Heaven
Bought souls still enslaved in darkness
Our hearts tear out tears of blood
As angels hasten to spill out salvation
From their golden jars flows
Christ’s redemptive blood
Sweet soothing balm of Gilead
Heal our hurtful wounds
“Don’t cry dear child
Don’t cry
Let me wipe away your tears
If only you accept me
I can cast out all your fears”
The day parts now
And the evening grows cooler
As the wicked whither
And the righteous come into rest
The angels watch
Over the moon’s light glow
Tomorrow, once again
We will rise up
And meet our Lord
