Robin Hood Hills Poem by nicola burkett

Robin Hood Hills

Rating: 5.0

Concealed deep inside Robin Hood
The truth will set them free
And save the lives
Of the West Memphis Three

The lives of three little boys
Ended by a unknown face
Left three more innocent children
Take the fall in the devils place

They liked to wear black
They didn’t fit in
Different to the norm
Was their only sin

Rumors and accusations
Floating in the air
No evidence or proof
Just a secret corrupt swear

A tragic shame indeed
These kids should never have died
A disgraced shame to think
That justice cheated and lied

If you look deep
Through those three men’s eyes
You can clearly see
Society’s web of lies

Thirteen years on
Imprisoned for crimes they didn’t commit
While two got life
On death row the other one sits

Millions of people around the world
Will not stop till they see
The first steps of freedom
For the West Memphis Three

Let me tell you something, Nicola. You think you know what you're talking about because you saw some movie. But you're really some ignorant kid from somewhere other than West Memphis, AR. You need to just keep your stupid poetry about things you have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA ABOUT to your self! I'm a police officer in West Memphis, AR and I know a lot of things that were not published in that movie. Things that would make your skin crawl and probably make you spill your cup of British tea all over yourself. Just keep your ignorant opinions to yourself, kid. You have no idea what you're talking about. Try getting information from other people there rather than watching t.v. I really can't stand shallow minded people who feel they need to have their voices heard when they don't have all the details. Stick to what you know about.
