For three days after December 24
In the year eighteen ninety two
Vivekananda in Kanyakumai
Deeply meditated on a rock in the sea.

Attained enlightenment and resolved
To dedicate himself to serve humanity
History clearly shows his contribution
We're better off for what he gave us.

The rock in the sea stays for ever
Many contributed to build a memorial
The fine structure and meditation hall
Stand today to visit and know our heritage.
