Rock Star Poem by Russell Stice

Rock Star

Most people don't like their daily life routine changed or nudged
Even if they know it lays lack lustered they still refuse to budge

Its funny when you believe you have it down and all figured out
And then that someone skips in a thought that turns it all about

Life's quirks that can go very slow & at the same time seem fast
Many things pondered on and gone over can be a stressful task

A Rock Star is a gift and is the very best around and never led
Knows many secrets and has listened to all of what daddy said

This is for them that knows and are worthy and will shed a tear
No one said it better than Simon, still crazy after all these years

To many familiar things were sure of & never to far from reach
To see the sun through a prism & cast its rainbow upon a beach

Traveled far and wide a nature boy with paths that twist & turn
The greatest thing found to learn is to love & be loved in return
